8 days / 7 nights Dive Komodo | 990 Euro

DAY I
Plane from Bali 10.00a.m
Arrive on board the Duyung at approx 11.30 am. You will be welcomed aboard with a refreshing cool drink and cold towels. After a boat orientation and safety briefing, the Duyung will leave Labuan Bajo at midday for the Komodo National Park. En route Vovo will discuss with you the itinerary for your dive cruise. Our first dive location is the Chinese shop on the island of Sabalon Kecil to carry out a check out dive. A second dive can be made on Sabalon Besar. In between the dives guests can spend time on the beautiful white sand beach. Here it is possible to carry out a scuba review for guests that may not have dived for sometime. The overnight anchorage will be in a secluded and calm bay near Waichicho beach. Relax on deck with a cold drink, watch the sunset and see monkeys playing on the beach.

DAY 2 Full dive day

Our next location is the Mini wall on the island of Sabayor. The dive is a nice easy dive with good visibility and no current. Here we may see Mandarin fish, frog fish, leaf fish and a variety of nudibranch. A further dive can be made at horseshoe reef. Around lunchtime the Duyung will cruise leisurely to our overnight anchorage in a secluded bay in the north of Komodo. Another dive will be made at Tatawa Island. A night dive can be made at the anchorage.

DAY 3 Full dive day

Your first dive of the day will be made at Castle Rock. Castle Rock is a sea mount with its pinnacle 5 metres below the surface, dropping down to an area called the platform at approx 32 metres. This site is alive with marine life; it is possible to see eagle rays cruising by, large shoals of jacks, giant travallies, and fusiliers. Sharks are common on this site and the ocean is full of overlapping clouds of fish. The coral here is in an excellent condition. What a wonderful way to start the day. Afterwards return to the Duyung for your well earned breakfast.

After appropriate surface intervals up to 3 more dives can be made. Sites may include the Cauldron, Crystal Boomi, Lighthouse and the Passage.
DAY 4 Full dive day

An early morning dive will be made at castle rock. While you eat your breakfast, the Duyung will cruise to Teluk Batumonco, a sheltered bay where we will anchor. A dive on the famous Toro Batumonco site will be made and a further 2 dives will be carried out in the beautiful coral gardens.
In the late afternoon time can be spent on the beach or spent wake boarding behind the speedboat, with Vovo’s compliments in the secluded bay.

DAY 5 Full dive day

Early morning cruise to another sheltered mooring near Komodo. We will begin our diving day (currents permitting) on the dive sites such as Cauldron, Crystal Boomi and the Lighthouse. After the dive, we will cruise down to Karang Makassar. Here we will experience the exciting and exhilarating diving of Batu Balong. This is truly “world-class” diving. Pristine coral, superb fish life, large numbers of white tip reef sharks can be seen along with large Napoleon wrasse. Generally the visibility is excellent. On the way back to the Duyung we will spend sometime looking for manta’s (if found it will be possible to snorkel with them).

Other dive sites that may be dived today include Tatawa Kecil and the Makassar manta feeding station.

DAY 6 Full dive day

A day to revisit your favourite dive sites (traveling time permitting) or explore further new dive sites such as Batu Tiga, Pink beach and the northern part of Gili Makassar.

Day 7

Two dives will be made in the morning; Batu Balong is a favourite location along with Castle Rock. Rinja Island will be made, guests can take a guided walk to explore the island and see the iconic Komodo dragon along with many other animals, such as buffalo, wild boar and deer.

DAY 8

Early morning departure from the Komodo National Park and a spectacular sunrise cruise back to Labuan Bajo. Arriving around 8.30 am when a leisurely breakfast will be served. After time for packing, transfers to the local airport will be arranged.
